Evergreen much branched shrubs from 6-8’ plus tall and wide to small trees.  Shelter from strong sun and drying winds  Filtered sunlight setting in a northern exposure for best results.

 

Hiemalis ‘Kanjiro’  Profuse semi-double rose-pink blossoms  with edges of rose-red.  Upright – Mid Season.

A pyramidal to conical tree with rich green to deep green foliage with massive ascending branches, drooping at the tips and ending in flat sprays.   A good plant for gardens and plantations.  Prefers well-drained, moist soil.  Does not thrive well in excessive heat.  Grows in landscape 40-60’.  Prefers cool temperatures.   Full sun or partial shade.

Cranberry Cotoneaster

This is a wide spreading low growing shrub with dark glossy green foliage and pinkish flowers in May to early June.  It tends to mound upon itself forming a dense tangle of limbs resembling a herringbone pattern. It has cranberry-sized red berries in winter excellent for attracting birds.  Ideal plant for bank cover, foundation plant or near a wall where branches can cascade over side. It is a moderate grower to 3’ tall, 6’ wide and requires full to partial sun.
