Upright-oval to oval-rounded shrub with new emerging leaves bronze to red, changing to a lustrous deep green at maturity then turning a rich reddish bronze color in winter. Very fragrant flowers are white to yellowish-white blooming May-June.   Green to red berries ripen in September.    Prefers moist, well-drained soils. Does best  in shade or partial shade. Good accent plant, informal hedge, screen or may be used in containers.   Medium size shrub, 6-8’ high and wide, larger with age.  Evergreen.  Full to partial sun.

This vine, usually late to leaf out,  has new growth of bronze or purple, turning bright green.  Fragrant blooms are  violet-blue,  blooming April-May. Stems twine clock-wise, growing as much as 10’ or more in one season in the south. Prefers moist, well drained soil and high PH. The plant will consume fences, trellises and arbors if not pruned.  Can be trained into a tree form or twines up in a tree to make a beautiful blooming vine.  Full sun.

A vigorous growing vine that displays new leaves of bronze or purplish tint  turning bright green. Blooms are upright clusters of pea-shaped white flowers both  in spring just after leafing out and again in the fall.  Train to spiral up trees, columns and posts or cover arbors or pergolas. Metal pipes should be used as these will crush wood supports.  Can  be trained into a tree form.  Also will climb as high at a 50’  in a tree.  Deciduous vine. Rapid growth to 30’ or more.  Full sun.
