Blue Atlas Cedar    

A bold pyramidal tree with sparkling silvery-blue foliage frequently used for large landscape areas.  It is one of the most popular evergreen conifers.  A slow grower, reaching heights of 40-50’  with a spread of 20-25’ wide, possibly larger with age.  Full sun.

Eastern Redbud                                 

Medium size, round headed tree. A profusion of dainty reddish purple buds  open to  rosy-pink flowers with a purplish tinge appearing on bare branches between winter and spring.   New growth of foliage is a reddish purple and gradually changing to a dark, often lustrous green in summer.  In winter, the foliage usually turns a showy yellow.  Moderate grower to 20-30’ in height by 25-35’ in spread.  Deciduous.  Full sun.

Chinese Fringe Tree

Upright branches form a dome shape making this a highly prized tree.   Magnificent clusters of fragrant fringe-like snow-white blooms are backed with soft green leathery leaves.  Flowers appear  on current season’s growth from late April to early June. Fruit is a dark blue drupe which ripens in September-October occurring on female plants only.  Deciduous. 15-20’ high, 30-40’ wide. Full to partial sun.

First Lady Dogwood                   

Yellow & green variegated foliage but loses most of it’s variegation in Zone 8. This is a cultivar  of the white Dogwood.  Prefers acid soil, well drained. This makes an excellent plant for around a patio, corners of houses and parks.  It is very effective against red brick.   Small tree – 20’ Ht.

Royal Purple Smoke Tree

Lustrous medium to dark green leaves appear on this softly pyramidal form when young developing an upright, spreading habit at maturity.
